

300-Hour Advanced Certification Program
Regardless of the style of yoga you teach or practice this is an opportunity to go beyond the poses and learn how to truly see, teach and inspire your students. The LCY 300-Hour Advanced Teacher Certification Program builds on the foundation of any completed hatha yoga training. Whether you have years of experience, or are new to teaching, these eight modules will deepen your knowledge and ability to evaluate and serve diverse student populations and advance your yoga career. Some modules are ACE approved and others are in the approval process. The program consists of eight modules (2, 3 and 4-days) and includes off-site homework. Fees range from $295 for a 2-day module to $545 for a 3-day module and $645 for a 4-day module, based on 30-day advance registration. LCY program hours are typically 9am to 6pm, but may vary depending on location.

Note: you do not have to complete all of your 500 RYT hours with one school. Yoga Alliance requires you to complete all 200 hours with one school and 300 hours with the same or another school for your 500 hours.

This module not only greatly expands your knowledge as a yoga teacher, but can develop in you, more possibilities of how you wish to beof service through yoga. The four days are full of learning, exploring and understanding Yoga Therapy from a restorative perspective — learning both stimulating and pacifying treatments to help correct imbalances physically and emotionally, and restore general well-being. Using her decades of experience of Iyengar yoga schooling, Leeann Carey authored the module so that it can be easily taught either in a classical hatha yoga studio or group fitness environment. You will learn how to teach traditional supported yoga using all recommended props, combined with current methodologies of yoga and class development to meet the needs of your demographics.

Designed by a physical therapist, this course will give you the tools to help your clients grow deeper in their hatha yoga practice. The module will help the yoga teacher, or allied health professional learn how to confidently assess an individual student’s posture, flexibility and strength and from that information, create a personalized yoga therapy practice to address the individual’s unique needs. You will also explore a holistic approach to treatment planning, including all aspects of the client’s lifestyle to create a path toward healing. This training gives you an understanding of the holistic approach of yoga therapy, which is successful when one incorporates the essence of yoga.

The Stretch (Thursday – Sunday)
A wonderful way to increase your earning potential while doing what you love and being of service through yoga. This four-day module teaches you how to safely stretch your students. The Stretch is like receiving a body massage, but more unique. Drawing from decades of experience from working with professional athletes, physically challenged or injured individuals, Leeann Carey designed this program to help you take yoga teaching to a new level and create a profitable business for skilled yoga teachers. You will learn how to work one-on-one while holding students in assisted yoga poses, and using hands-on adjustments and seamless supported movements that offer students an entirely pain-free yoga experience; leaving them feeling open, relaxed and joyful.

Philosophy: Living Yoga (Thursday – Sunday)
Living Yoga will expose you to the history of yogic knowledge from the Vedic Period to modern times. Using an open discussion, we will explore the teachings of each period, with particular emphasis on Sage Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, and examine the interconnection of relevant texts, and develop a deeper understanding of how they apply to a modern lifestyle. Through the meaning of (OM), we will transform that which was in ancient times to reflect that which is in modern times. You will be given an opportunity to create an asana-based philosophy class. Keeping an open mind and a compassionate heart, this learning will reveal a deeper understanding of the wisdom hidden inside these ancient teachings.
This module concentrates on the teachings found in The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, The Bhagavad Gita, and various vedic teachings. Over four days’ time, we will investigate how these philosophies identify with the paths of yoga.

Anatomy: Form & Function, ACE Approved (Friday – Sunday)

Every yoga instructor is required to understand basic anatomy in order to teach a safe yoga class. This three-day module will introduce applicable anatomy to yoga asanas so you can see it, feel it, and own it.
You will learn anatomy for yoga, plain and simple — and travel your own body in order to cultivate a first-hand experience of understanding structure and movement.
This is not your typical or boring anatomy studies. Instead, we’ve designed three days filled with discussion, movement and exploration. This training will peak your curiosity to know and feel more, and leave you with an undeniable understanding of how the body works.

Yoga for Maternity & Motherhood (Saturday and Sunday)

This module teaches yoga instructors how to safely and creatively work with prenatal mothers. An intelligent yoga practice can help strengthen a woman’s body, emotionally and mentally prepare them for birth, and provide an opportunity to bond with their unborn in a very unique way.You will learn the skills to teach prenatal yoga, relaxation techniques, and labor support skills that expectant mothers can use on and off the mat.
A comprehensive and thoughtful learning, and like all other Leeann Carey Yoga certification programs, it is geared toward teaching how to teach people, not just the poses.

Therapeutic Partner Practice (Saturday – Sunday)
This is one of the most fun and light-hearted modules. The two days are filled with deepening your relationship to “self” while you give and receive support in asanas, therapeutic flying, and some Thai massage. Opening your students to experiencing poses with a partner is a unique process for letting in and letting go.
The weekend will include movement warm-ups to share with a partner, as well as simple to advanced partner support, an introduction to Thai massage, and therapeutic flying yoga. Plus, you’ll learn and create a variety of ways to give hands-on adjustments to your fellow yogi, and build your class mapping skills for creative sequencing. Its super fun and will spice up your mad yoga skills!

- Included in each teacher module registration is a non-refundable $100 deposit.
- If you cancel more than 14 days prior to the start date, you will receive a refund less the $100 deposit. – If canceling less than 14 days prior to the start date, a credit less the non-refundable deposit will be issued and valid toward any future LCY module.
-If LCY cancels, a full refund will be issued.
